What is Experimental Research

It is not just computer algorithms that researchers have been putting their precious time and efforts into, but also experimental research in many forms. Experimental research can be written as any kind of research that is carried out by the researchers to test new ideas or find out things that are not so known. The purpose of experimental research is to find out things that were not seen before and, perhaps, to turn up things that were not anticipated.

Experimental research for instance involves different kinds of experiments that have to be carried out for which no previous data has been collected. Some of the experiments are designed to test different theories on the matter of the universe and the various processes of science. For instance, it may turn out that an experiment is a great opportunity to solve a problem in theoretical physics or the study of the evolution of the earth and its atmosphere. There may be observations that cannot be predicted or ruled out because they are mere coincidences.
The extent of experimental research depends on the number of researches that have to be done, the resources that have to be used, the time and place for conducting the experiments and the results that are obtained. There are times when experiments take place at various locations and even at different times of the day. This is usually to see whether a new theory about anything happens to hold true or not.
In experimental research there is also great significance of the designing of experiments and the formulation of the hypothesis that should be tried and tested to arrive at the desired results. The results of an experiment will help in determining the validity of the hypothesis that was tested.
There are three different types of experimental research that have been considered in various societies and in many laboratories. These include the statistics of the experimental research, the laboratory research and the clinical research. A very recent development is the development of the use of online experiments, the test of which was also carried out by members of the International Society for Experimental Biology (ISEB).
There are many areas in which experimental research can be applied and this is where the field of statistics and laboratory research plays a significant role. In laboratory research the experimental procedures are done in the laboratory and the results are collated to help in developing the hypothesis and then testing it.
Most of the times, the experimental research carried out in the laboratory is aimed at finding out a solution to a problem. It may be that there is a specific disease that needs to be treated or a new way of using some substance in order to produce some desired effect on the body.
Another important part of experimental research is that of clinical research. This involves investigations carried out to determine the course of action to be taken when a certain disease or a certain illness is suspected. Sometimes the hypothesis being tested is tested in a clinical trial and the results obtained are presented in order to decide on the best method for taking that particular treatment.
Experimental research also includes the utilization of telemetry in case the needs for constant communication with another person or someone who is in a distant location. The telemetry is of two types. One is voice data and the other is voice tone data.
Telemetry is used to transmit information to a laboratory. Such information is used for planning and implementing the experiments and to monitor the work of the researcher. There are other telemetry that are used in industrial applications.
Experimental research may turn out to be a complete waste of time and money or it may turn out to be fruitful in nature. For any kind of experiment the main thing is to carry out the experiment in a systematic manner so that the results of the experiment will prove to be of benefit to the researcher. In some cases, even going to a different country is a good idea.
